Winter Kayaking

Winter kayaking in Vesterålen is a truly special experience. Paddling on crystal-clear waters surrounded by snow-covered mountains, quiet shorelines and shifting winter light offers a rare sense of calm and connection to nature. From the water, the landscape feels close and immersive, with only the sound of the paddle breaking the surface.

Our guided winter kayak tours take you past remote islands and sheltered beaches, with opportunities to spot wildlife and experience the dramatic changes in colour as the sun moves across the horizon. Sitting at water level and moving only by paddle power is one of the most rewarding ways to experience the Arctic winter environment.

The waters around Ringstad are well suited for winter kayaking, and our experienced guides ensure a safe and comfortable trip for all participants. Each tour is adapted to the conditions of the day, with sunset trips also possible when weather allows.
