Aurora Borealis – From Your Cabin
At Ringstad, the northern lights are not a scheduled tour — they are part of everyday life in winter. On clear, dark nights from autumn to early spring, you may simply look out of your window or step outside your cabin and see the aurora dancing above the fjord and surrounding mountains.
With minimal light pollution and open views towards the sea and sky, Ringstad offers excellent natural conditions for experiencing the northern lights. There is no bus to catch and no waiting in crowds — just the quiet Arctic night, the sound of the sea, and the sky above you.
The aurora is a natural phenomenon and depends on solar activity and clear skies. When the forecast looks promising, we are happy to inform our guests — so you can step outside at the right moment and experience it for yourself.
